hmm I haven't read enough of those to judge, but I tend to read the ending first when I read one, which inevitably ruins them for me. Don't ask me why I do that. I don't like the suspense of not knowing.
This is another genre of books that I don't think I've ever tried. I do like Law and Order: SVU (lol) so maybe I'd like these type of books too. Books with mysteries and have a great 'Ahaaa' moment at the end are always awesome to me though =)

A couple months ago I would have said the same thing. Then I started the In Death series by J.D. Robb. Such a good series, and it has like 32+ books! Of course it has one of the best lead guys I've read on the page. That could be some of it!
Thanks for stopping by and I am following back! Otherwhere.Co
Yeah, I read the first 5 or so in that series? I like the characters, but true to form the mystery parts always bored me. I gave up :( Roarke is awesome though!
I currently dislike romance novels though when younger I read historical romance and lesbian romance. I ÜBER dislike sex novels posing as romance.
On the other hand, when I read the books I like (sci-fi, fantasy, alternative history), I love it when characters fall in love. I kind of think love stories are better when they are NOT the center of the book.

LOL. I like how you just don't like them and that's that. Can't explain why. I totally understand. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I'm not fond of murder mysteries either. Especially when the person dies before you really care about whether they're dead :(
ReplyDeleteAs long as there's something paranormal going on, I do like mysteries. Guess it comes from my days of watching Scooby Doo--and Psych!

It's nice I think to have sometimes a great mystery like that in a book from time to time.

It depends on the murder mystery for me. Most of them are boring, but if there's some depth to it I'm happy!

I like mysteries and thrillers once in awhile, if it's a good author.
DeleteNever read one...because they don't interest me either, haha.
