Q: What drove you to start book blogging in the first place?
I read a lot, and I started to really feel like I was the only one. None of my friends really read much, and while they might occasionally politely listen to me describe the latest book I'd read, it became increasingly obvious to me that they don't care. Much. So I got into book blogging as an outlet for talking about this hobby that is such a huge part of my life.
LOL sounds like my son, who rolls his eyes when I go on about a book, I tried to say its like when he gets a game he loves. but not the same.

Great answer. :) It's true though; and it's nice that when talking to others who like to read what we like, we get some great recommendations in the process as well. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, and now following via Linky. :)
It's interesting answer. I love reading people's reasons :) I feel just like you. I'm the only odd one out in my family that loves to read.

I agree! I'm probably the biggest reader out of all my friends. And I can't fangirl about book characteres with my parents, now can I?
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting. New follower :D
OMG we started blogging for the same reasons. After seeing my friends constantly nod their heads but not listen to me I decided to find people that would LOL
ReplyDeleteNew follower :D Love the blog name!
I know how you feel :) Thanks for stopping by! Old follower. Hope you have a great weekend!

I definitely understand! Instead of my friends though, I talked my hubby's ear off. It's no fun when they don't fan-girl over some book/character with you, is it? Lol. Old follower. You can find my FF here.
ReplyDeleteMost of my friend reads but I usually don't talk about the books I read.

It was the same with me! Most of my friends rarely find the time to read and when they do, it's not the same type of book I do, which makes it not as fun to gush about our bookish loves!
ReplyDeletenew follower :)
Here's my FF
Hah, yeah. Similiar here. I have a friend who has, lately, started to read more and more, which is great. But before that, there was no one to fangirl with me, so.. *grin*

Yup, not having reader friends sucks. Book Bloggers are the best cure.
ReplyDeleteI guess I've always been lucky to have bookworm friends... :-) New follower from ff.
ReplyDeleteBlogging has become an obsessive hobby of mine! Love to read and I love to share what I read and now i have people who want to read my reviews because they want to read the same books as I do!

ReplyDeleteThat past feeling is mutual. Rarely do I get friends who are as book-crazy as me, haha! Maybe one or two. Your blog is SO cute!! Thanks for dropping by! Vivi's now a new "Good Egg"! :)

Definitely know how you feel. I sometimes tell my husband about my books but he's pretty obvious in the fact that he doesn't care. He does occasionally go to book signings with me.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to this answer :-)
ReplyDeleteOld follower!
Thanks for stopping by my FF!
I felt the exact same way. I have no one to talk to about books! And that's sad.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I'm an old follower too
