Q: We always talk about books that WE want. Let's turn it on its head. What books have you given other people lately?

America Again: Re-becoming the Greatness We Never Weren't This is the book I got Hubby for Valentine's Day! Hubby primarily reads graphic novels, but it's hard to give him those as presents because only he can keep track of all of the series he's following and which ones he'll need next. So I went with something I knew he didn't have and would probably get a kick out of. Steven Colbert is pretty amusing, and while I have no plans to read this myself, it's fun to have hubby tell me about it.

    I wish my hubby was a reader, but alas, he's not. In fact, the entire 15 years we've been together he's read ONE book and that was because we had an ice storm and had no power for five days and he had nothing else to do. He read Clive Cussler's, Sahara, and he enjoyed it but I couldn't get him to read anything else. Thanks for stopping by this week!

    I'm not really curious about the movie (Beautiful Creatures) though, because sometimes the movie tie-ins ruin the book or deviate from the story, and I usually like the book more than the movie.

    LOVE Stephen Colbert. Best Emmy Moment Ever: When Steve Colbert and Jon Stewart, who were presenting, just DECIDED to give the Emmy to Steve Carrell b/c Ricky Gervais wasn't there to receive it. Hilarious.

    It's ironic recently I just for the first time ever seen Stephen Colbert on the Jimmy Fallon show and thought he was pretty funny! I love gifting books to people, hopefully he enjoys it!
