Following Friday is a meme hosted by
Parajunkee and
Alison Can Read. It's a blog hop, a friendly way for everyone to make new friends and increase their followers. I'm pretty new at this, so bare with me.
Q. In some books like the Sookie Stackhouse series the paranormal creature in question "comes out of the closet" and makes itself known to the world. Which mythical creature do you wish this would happen with in real life?
My Answer: Fairies! And I don't just mean the sweet little butterfly winged ones, but all the creepy, cool, dark ones too. I've always been fascinated with the literally thousands of years worth of mythology associated with the fae.
Yes! Both kinds of fairies! I'd rather have the mischievous ones, though, if I had to pick. :)

Great answer! I like the dark ones too! And you're right, the mythology associated with the fae is fascinating. I'm happy to be a new follower and I look forward to enjoying your reviews!

I'm a new follower, thanks to Follow Friday! :) Also a college student who thinks your penguin is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you'd want good fairies along with the dark ones. Balance is good. :) And mythology is fascinating!
Hey! I'm a new follower! I love fairies also!

I've seen this meme around but never really had the time to join in the fun... maybe I ought to give it a go :)
ReplyDeleteCherry, I'm always kind of hesitant about memes. I hardly know what day of the week I'm in half of the time. And I don't want to become one of those blogs that's all memes, all the time. But I do like finding new blogs to look at, so Following Friday seemed just the thing.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read enough stories with fairies in them to decide if I'd want them to be real.
ReplyDeleteGreat choise,
ReplyDeleteI would not mind meeting a member of the Fae family.
Have a great weekend!

"Hey ma, we got fairies in the garden again!"
ReplyDelete"Oh, drat! Call the exterminator!"
Me too, me too! I love faeries, and like you said, all kinds not just the sweet sparkly Tink type (although I do love Tink too lol). Love your blog! Penguins are my favorite animal, and I just saw my first real penguins on Friday when I took my nephew to the zoo...very exciting!
